Explanation
点 is a kanji that is used to signify a particular 'point', 'feature', or 'aspect' of something. When placed after the attributive form of a word or phrase, it serves to single out that element as a specific point for discussion or evaluation. It is commonly translated as 'the point that (A)', 'in terms of (A)', or 'with respect to (A)', and other similar expressions that focus on a certain characteristic.
This grammar point is formed by adding 点 to the attributive form of a word, a noun followed by の, or a phrase followed by という. While 点 is frequently followed by the case marking particle で, different particles may be used to show if the 'point' is a subject, object, or is being used in some way.

Instead of the particle で, other phrases such as について 'regarding (A)', or からいうと 'from the standpoint of (A)' can also follow 点. This will sound natural as long as the accompanying grammar is also used to focus on something specific and can be attached to a noun.

- 彼の経験が浅いという点から言うと、この仕事はまだ任せられない。Considering his lack of experience, we can't entrust this job to him yet.
